Curly coiled necklaces

Yep, it took a bit longer than expected to get this photo up, but it's here!

Following the last post about my bittergourd vines, I created a vine-inspired necklace made with purple Ametrine and yellow Citrine stones, with goldfilled wires coiled and intertwined.

After that was completed, I thought I'd do another one with my favourite combi of Turquoise and gold.  :)
This one has Turquoise with other blue stones (Apatite and Aquamarine), as well as ivory pearls.  Both will be listed on Etsy shortly, with more pictures! 

Inspiration from my high rise garden

Living on the 9th floor doesn't have to be devoid of soil and plants.  Every morning I wake up to see what my bittergourd plant has been up to in the night.  Here's a picture of them making their way up my homemade trellis (assembled with a couple of old shoe laces).  Those springy limbs of theirs sometimes claw themselves onto places they are not supposed to, so I have to lead them onto the right path! :)

Talking about their springy limbs, I sort of transported that onto a necklace project I started on. Here it is!  It's half done now and this is the centre focal part of my necklace.  This is a combination of Ametrine, Citrine and Pearls on goldfilled wire all coiled up together.

A rosary from mummy to son

Last week I had my cuz in law come by, wanting to learn how to make a rosary for her son. She'd gotten the beads, crucifix and all, ready to be assembled.

A morning of demonstration and practice, she was well into turning eye loops, connecting jumprings, and had a row of beads joined into a row.

Here's the completed rosary and the little son was so happy with mummy's present!

When the Wind changes direction...

Lately I've been thinking about the time spent (or rather the lack of) maintaining this blogshop.  While having this site in addition to my Etsy store has its pluses, I certainly haven't been spending enough time here. I'm Back!!

Hi!  I'm back, after a long dry spell...

In case you're wondering, this site is still very much alive!  The day job had taken over & I also spent much of my remaining time fulfilling orders than creating new stuff. 

But I'm back from my recent shopping for lots of sparkly bits :) and will have exciting new stuff to show in the coming weeks!

Some changes to this website... the prices are now in Singapore Dollars (SGD) only, but I've added a currency converter on the right bar, so that you can convert prices to your own currency anytime. All this because of the recent currency fluctuations. 

Payment currency has not changed and should be in either USD or SGD.

I've also added a page link. (see the row of tabs under the banner?) Click on "Shop Online" to go to my Etsy shop. More pictures and the convenient shopping cart there!
